The May meeting will be a dynamic 50-minute presentation designed to equip nonprofit leaders with practical, actionable strategies to start or strengthen a planned giving program—regardless of organizational size. Presented by Jennifer Hicks, CFRE, CAP®, and  Jan Ager, CFRM, this session explores why planned giving is essential in the era of the $84+ trillion wealth transfer and how it transforms fundraising from transactional to transformational. Attendees will learn the four foundational elements of a successful program—leadership buy-in, clear policies, donor identification, and simple marketing tools—along with right-sized approaches that work for volunteer-led nonprofits and large institutions alike. The session also provides practical language for donor-centered legacy conversations and easy steps organizations can implement immediately.
